Hi, I like to upload a few songs and recordings to wiki. First one would be en:The Sheik of Araby. Then I will move to en:Category:1921 songs and earlier categories. Thank you for your consideration. Artix Kreiger (talk) 20:50, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Artix Kreiger: Note that sound recordings in the U.S. are typically not public domain even if they were published prior to 1923. See [1] and [2]. You can, however, find free license sound recordings at the sites listed at Commons:Free media resources/Music. Kaldari (talk) 03:49, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Kaldari: , I'll upload the PD files on Project Gutenberg. Artix Kreiger (talk) 04:04, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Artix Kreiger: Congratulations, you are now the first member of the MP3 uploaders user group. Hopefully, MP3 uploading will actually be possible within in the next week or two. Stay tuned! Kaldari (talk) 04:16, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I want to use this to upload bird sounds from xeno-canto and add them to Dutch Wiki-pages. Thank you. heinnlein'' 13:41, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Admittingly I've never uploaded MP3s here in my life however I have 9536 images under my belt so I obviously know what's fine and what isn't and obviously I'm not going to upload any old crap, Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 22:20, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done here you go. Though we cannot upload mp3-files yet. Natuur12 (talk) 22:58, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Brilliant thanks Natuur12 much appreciated :) –Davey2010Talk 23:27, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I will upload sound bites of notable persons from the Swedish National heritage Board's podcast (which soon will be explicitly CC BY licensed). Thank you. Ainali (talk) 13:55, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I upload video but sometimes old audio in the public domain or under crestive commons and would like to do that in mp3 Thank you. Hannolans (talk) 23:15, 30 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done With regards to public domain sound recordings, please keep in mind that Commons licensing policy requires the work to be either in the public domain or covered by a valid free license in both the country of origin of the work and the U.S., but that unfortunately most pre-1972 sound recordings are not in the public domain in the U.S.RP88 (talk) 00:50, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
From time to time I have uploaded freely licensed podcasts as ogg/opus files and would like to continue this effort using the much more common MP3 format. I'm a longtime contributor to Commons and familiar with licensing and copyright. Thank you. Cirdan (talk) 00:31, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm usually not uploading sound files but I'm hoping to implement support for MP3s in Pattypan, for users with this permission. --Abbe98 (talk) 05:53, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done Seems you were overlooked. Appologies for that. Natuur12 (talk) 16:51, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a few audio-projects including the WikiProject Language samples and plan to do a few further, since I think we miss a lot of valuable audio on Commons. I have advanced knowledge of copyrights and would never upload unfree material. Thank you. Michael F. Schönitzer 11:44, 1 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have a vast upload history. I'm the instigator of Commons:Voice intro project, in which capacity it would be very useful to be able, occasionally, to upload MP3s, especially those self-made and provided by third parties, with OTRS clearance. ✓ Done have fun with the user right. Natuur12 (talk) 19:03, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I don't upload sounds very often, but did so last month. The file was from the JFK Presidential library, and I converted it to OGG. Being able to upload the MP3 version would have been better. Thank you. Hawkeye7 (talk) 19:54, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done here you go. Natuur12 (talk) 19:56, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That was quick! Thanks! Hawkeye7 (talk) 20:03, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I record lots and lots of audio for the Kathabhidhana (see Category:Kathabhidhana) project and the .ogg conversion prevents me from completely automating the process. The .mp3 upload right would make life a lot easier and I could simplify my workflow. :) - Prateek Pattanaik (talk) 06:52, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks :) @Natuur12.
I am long time Commons contributor and have uploaded thousands of audio files so far. Earlier this year, I founded Kathabhidhana and have already uploaded over 2000 files. I am planning to upload more in the coming months. Also, I would like to upload free digital music that I create at times (examples). .WAV files being too heavy, I would prefer to upload .mp3 files and would like to request access. --Subhashish Panigrahi (talk) 08:45, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This was quick. Thanks much @Natuur12.
I have uploaded plenty of books and images here, mainly for use in Bengali and English Wikisource. I would like to upload old Indian musical and other sound recordings, that are now copyright-free. Thank you. Hrishikes (talk) 13:41, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a member of the ORTS-team for nlwiki and I regularly upload files from Wikiportret. I now have to download the files to my PC before I can upload them, with this right I don't have to do that anymore. Thank you. Mbch331 (talk) 17:05, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done to enable access to upload by url. Natuur12 (talk) 17:09, 15 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am a member of the OTRS-team and upload many files from Wikiportret after checking authorischip and correct permission of the copyright. I would like to become "extended uploader" as this will save me many clicks and uploading time to my own PC Thank you. Elly (talk) 15:13, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
