[edit]- Feelingunwell? (talk • contribs • Luxo's • SUL • deleted contribs • logs • block user • block log )
Rationale
[edit]- Reason: User has uploaded several images of British political figures claimed to be licenced {{OGL}} with a misleading source link, which either leads to a much lower resolution version of the image or does not have the image at all, eg File:David Willetts Minister of State.jpg, File:Vince Cable Secretary of State.jpg, File:Lord Hill Leader of the House of Lords.jpg. Slytherining Around32 also did this, see for example File:Sir Bruce Keogh.jpg, File:Sir David Nicholson.jpg, File:Sir Bob Kerslake.jpg. The previous accounts are presumably too old for checkuser but there are known IPs listed in the corresponding en.wiki investigation (w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Marquis de la Eirron/Archive, w:User:Slytherining Around32 is a blocked sock of Marquis de la Eirron there), can we use those? - I raised this request as soon as I spotted the uploads and recognised the behaviour. Sorry if I’ve done this the wrong way round, I’ve now raised a DR for the problematic uploads (Commons:Deletion requests/Files uploaded by Feelingunwell?). January (talk) 08:32, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- And I deleted the images, classical pattern of this user to upload UK politician images with links to similar images + some other valid US sourced images. Someone should start a CU request at en wiki to be sure it is or isn't this sockmaster. --Denniss (talk) 10:20, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Results
[edit]I'm not sure I understand. Feelingunwell? has uploaded five images. None of them have been deleted or have DRs on them, so presumably they are OK, despite the comments above. Although Feelingunwell? is a Possible sock of Slytherining Around32, I'm not comfortable blocking him on the basis of a "possible" finding when he has done nothing wrong under this name. I should add that there is another account that is also a possible sock of Slythering Around32 that has been active in the last 90 days. I won't name it here because it has only four uploads and although one has been deleted, it is not fair to hang a sock on someone based on thin evidence. . Jim . . . . Based on the further information above, I've changed this to a Likely and I have indefinitely blocked Feelingunwell? . Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 19:18, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

[edit]- Antiquities432 (talk • contribs • Luxo's • SUL • deleted contribs • logs • block user • block log )
Rationale
[edit]- Reason: Long term sockpuppeteer and copyright violator here and on enwp (see w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Marquis de la Eirron/Archive), Slytherining Around32 is a confirmed sock there. Antiquities432 has the same focus, portrait images of British and American political figures, and has uploaded their preferred images over existing images as previous sock Uptown Church (talk · contribs) did eg File:WJMartini.jpg, File:Caroline Spelman, October 2009 1 cropped.jpg, File:MaxBurnsCongress.jpg and has also uploaded copyvios with false or dubious sourcing eg File:William J. Martini.jpg, File:Eric-fingerhut.jpg. January (talk) 19:26, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
Results
[edit]- Good catch. Definitely Confirmed. The account is blocked. Trijnsteltalk 19:38, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
