Rationale, discussion and results
[edit]Reason: After Gbp190 (talk · contribs) has been told not to upload and reupload the same deleted image (File:Hrant Vardanyan.jpg) a new account reuploads it. Patrick Rogel (talk) 16:44, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- The file has OTRS permission. Please advise what exactly is wrong with it. --Krd 17:03, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Confirmed - Krd misses the point. History is as follows:
- 12.08.2019 - Gbp190 uploads File:In the factory.jpg, deleted 12 September 2019 for no permission.
- 24.09.2019 - Gbp190 uploads File:Hrant Vardanyan.jpg, deleted 24 September 2019 as recreation (G4)
- 27.09.2019 - Gbp190 uploads File:Hrant Vardanyan Factory.jpg, deleted 27 September 2019 as recreation (G4)
- 04.10.2019 - Gbp190 uploads File:Hrant M. Vardanyan.jpg, deleted 4 October 2019 as recreation (G4)
- 14.14.2019 - Vahrambrutyan19 created and uploads File:H.Vardanyan's.jpg, deleted 14 October 2019 as recreation (G4)
- That the image ultimately received an OTRS is not relevant, as the Vahrambrutyan19 account was used to recreate an image that had already been deleted four times (!!!) out-of-process. That is an unambiguous abusive use of an alternative account. Further, for those that actually care about copyright, the Vahrambrutyan19 file (File:H.Vardanyan's.jpg) claimed Vahrambrutyan19 to be the author, whereas the ticket claims "artv company" to be the author. As this is a CC-by-SA license (the "by" meaning attribution is required), Vahrambrutyan19's failure to attribute the copyright holder was a breach of the license (i.e., a copyvio even with the presence of an OTRS ticket--see, for example, Philpot v. Music Times LLC, 1:16-cv-01277 (S.D.N.Y. 2017)). Sock blocked and master warned. Эlcobbola talk 16:08, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
