Since there are people needed that can delete obvious copivio, logos, etc. and Category:Unknown is growing bigger and bigger and pictures have been in there for months. I suggest this voluntary and great photographer to give us a hand. He always tries to compromise and tries to do his best and I will always support him in his doing if it is a questions, help, or anything else. --Paddy 00:20, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
- I'm a photographer and paddy has asked me for help to delete pictures with bad license. sorry for my bad English, I'm German and speak better Spanish or Czech. In the de WP I have more then 600 Pictures, I have uploaded all in de WP, because I did not find categories here and was confused which one to choose. Marcela 00:33, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
- Speaking for myself I see Ralf as a great contributor and he has found his way to commons. It took some time but he is getting more and more familiar with the place. It took me some time too and nobody is perfect. I am trying my best to start him off with the obvious stuff and we than we will see what is next. He is very willing to learn more and I am sure he will do great work on commons once he knows how to get stuff done as an administrator here, which has been a completely new experience for me too (as a former de sysop). Primarily I think he is a contributor and a great one too but I could use a little hand now and than. --Paddy 01:00, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
- Lets wait some Time with my Admin-Status here, i load all my new pictures now in the commons and I vote in the german WP for upload all in commons - let me Time to learn all here about the categories, I do my best... Marcela 19:50, 7 October 2005 (UTC)

Oppose This opposing voice is nothing personal. Really. I like the work of Marcela (aka Ralf) in the German Wikipedia and strongly supported his administration request there. He is very active in this Wikipedia. But in the Commons, he has nearly no experience. He did not upload his own about 600 pictures, because of the category problem he mentioned above. And he has only about 100 edits within this project. I know Marcela for quite a long time now and can't imagine that he really would like to be an administrator here. -- aka 19:29, 16 September 2005 (UTC)- Oppose agree with aka, I don't have a good feeling too. - oppose ack aka. Ralf is pretty good in contributing or e.g. in solving conflicts between users and he is a nice and really friendly person, but afaik he absolutely dislikes sorting, categorising, tagging, (re)organising and (of course, as a photographer) deleting pretty but copyvio images - and that's what adminship in this project is mostly about. --:Bdk: 03:46, 23 September 2005 (UTC)

If you are looking for someone who knows about photographing, ask him. English language skills should not be a criterion for adminship, as this is a multilingual, not an english-speaking project.

- Neutral - I think, Marcela (known as Ralf) is a very good constibutor and photographer in the german Wikipedia and he is always willing to help anyone with problems about photography and other stuff and - at last but not least - I really like him based on personal contacts. But as aka said he is not really experienced in commons and he has some problems in understanding the english language which is the standard language in this project and in most licenses to read and understand.
