Davepape

I wish to nominate Davepape to administrator position.

This user patrols new page creation and nominate vandalism/nonsense/out of scope pages to speedy deletion and reverts vandalism. He made good job with improving descriptions of LOC images. I think this user will definitely help to keep Commons clean.

Confirmation of candidate. Reconfirming - I accept the nomination; thanks, Eugene. To add to his comments, I have a longstanding interest in free content (spent my early years making PD images at NASA, now teach occasional courses on copyright & sharing), and see Commons as a great place to further that. This has included watching for copyright issues, and I expect that's where I'd most use Admin-hood, to assist in processing image deletions, speedy & non-. But I'd still be watching for vandalism, too. (And, FWIW, my edit count would also include ~3700 bot-based cleanups of the images I've uploaded.) --Davepape 16:17, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
