Commons:Requests and votes/D-Kuru
For those who don't know me, I've been working for de.wikipekdia since 2006-08. My username on de.wikipedia is "Kuru". Right now I'm learning for my Matura. When you have a look at my gallery it's not hard to guess that I'm very interested in (military)engineering. I always try to describe my uploaded pictures in two languages, as best as I can and with a link to the right article in the right language.
The first reason why I apply for adminship is that I want to do good contributions for the wikipedian system (especially commons) (I know, it sounds as if I want to become Miss America) .
The second reason why I apply for adminship is, because Greudin "persuaded" me to apply for adminship.
As you can see from my contribution-page, if uploaded 97 pictures and I've done 837 edits (~ every other edit is (now) a picture-edit, because I'm trying to create good categories where you can find all suitable images). I've many deleted edits, because I'm trying to keep commons clean. That does not mean that I'll start to delete as much bad pictures as I can when I become an admin. Most of these deleted edits were {{logo}} or {{copyvio}}.
If you want to see what my galleries look like you can have look at my work.
If you want to know more, ask me! --D-Kuru 14:17, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

- Support sounds good to me. I like your self introduction. :) --pfctdayelise (说什么?) 16:16, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

- Support Self introduction asserts that image cleanup will be a plus; don't see why this user doesn't need the tools. V60 干什么? · VContribs 18:00, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

- Neutral -- Very friendly user. However, I do have the feeling that the user is still a little bit unexperienced in Commons. That said, as this user seems to be willing to take advice I think the user will eventually become a good admin. As such I can unfortunately not yet fully support. -- Bryan (talk to me) 17:10, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

- When you upload files from other Wikis, please make the info as complete as possible, see Image:MOABAFAM.JPG. {{PD-self}} should really only be used if you (as the uploader) previously held the copyright, {{PD-user-en}}, {{PD-user-de}} etc. allow a user on another wiki to be credited. A copy of the original upload log also seems like a good idea given the file will be deleted. It makes thing easier when en.wiki admins review the original file tagged for speedy deletion if we don't have to come over here and add these details. Thanks, WjBscribe 23:22, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- I've changed every picture to "own work by Username" and every {{GDFL-self}} or {{PD-self}} to {{GDFL-user-de/en}} or {{PD-user-de/en}}
- The only problems were Image:Paveway III laser guided bomb seeker head.jpg, Image:100hgxe.jpg and Image:Cermax.jpg because there were no information about the author.
- Moreover if added "Please note: Only those pictures are my pictures if you find them in my category!" to my uploadpage

- Thanks. I checked the deletion log on en.wiki for those 3 images and confirmed that the uploader stated they were the author. I've updated them accordingly. WjBscribe 14:31, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
