This was placed in discussion to discuss if the image is fine as it or need to be tilted or have the perspective fixed etc. My other image of the Kia Picanto got promoted and that had it registration plate blanked out. I blank out the plate in respect of the owner's privacy. One of my images got deleted by the owner of the vehicle via a OTSR ticket request because the registration plate wasn't blanked.     • A blurring of the license plate is not required. There is no right to the image of one's own cause. White license plates are a serious deterioration of the photo. When I see it, I always give a oppose. It may be that other users see it differently.       • @Ralf Roletschek: It might not be required but I do it to respect the privacy of the owner of the vehicle, especially with newer vehicles, classics or older than 25 years old I leave unblanked. Another problem is that the majority of photographer's fields aren't really cars and vehicles. It usually landscapes, buildings etc and when it is a vehicle is used mostly for artistic purpose rather than practical. These images that (although not all) often get promoted as QI tend to have lots of backgrounds to enhance the tone and scene of the picture. Also there hundreds of mine and others images that are being used on articles related to automobiles and they all got there registration plate blanked but it still high quality all round, it barely leaves any distortion or distraction in the picture in my opinion, (Unless if I misinterpret your comment then my apologises.) --Vauxford 20:43, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

    • @Vauxford: for QI it is usual to expect things that are vertical in reality to be vertical in the photo. In this case that means that the vertical features in the building behind the car should be parallel to the left and right edges of the photo. As Basotxerri mentioned above, this may be possible to correct if you have a bit more border available on the un-cropped original image. As for the number plates, I came across the same problem here in QI. The solution I found was to fake the registrations rather than blanking or blurring them (examples: File:Land Rover Series III Lightweight 1979 - front.jpg, File:Land Rover Range Rover Autobiography 2016.jpg) and adding the 'Retouched picture' template to the image description.
