These are photos of sculptures by artist Paul Manship. Since the U.S. lacks Freedom of Panorama for artwork, these works are protected by applicable copyright. Paul Manship died in 1966 which make the works copyrighted due to US law protecting them for 70 years after the author's death. Some of the works (e.g. Prometheus) might be considered works-for-hire, in which case they are protected 120 years after date of creation [1] (only works created by the artist at age 4 would be PD by that protection). -Seidenstud (talk) 23:30, 30 April 2009 (UTC) . - Per COM:FOP#United States:
- Keep Prometheus and Young Lincoln, i.e. files File:Rockefeller Center Sculpture.JPG, File:Statue at Rockefeller Centre.jpg, File:Rockefeller Center MAM.JPG, File:Prometheus at Rockefeller Center by David Shankbone.jpg, File:Prometeo.JPG, File:PMYoungLincoln-1.jpg, and File:PMYoungLincoln-2.jpg: Prometheus is from 1934, and Lincoln from 1932. Both do not appear to bear a copyright notice (at least SIRIS doesn't mention one in their detailed entries:[2][3]). Appears these sculptures would be {{PD-US-no notice}}. See also Template talk:PD-US-statue/proposal#Need for a bright-line rule.
- Delete File:PMIndianHunterAndHisDog.jpg: although in a public place, we have no information about possible copyright notices. Twelve smaller replicas exist; these do bear a copyright notice.[4]
- Delete File:PaulManship-GroupOfBears.JPG: not in a public place. A copy of this sculpture is in Central Park.[5]. No information about copyright notices. The smaller (and, based on the dates, original) version at the Smithsonian does have a copyright notice.[6]
{{vd}}Keep File:Paul Manship-PMDancer&Gazelles.jpg: not in a public place, no information about copyright notices.[7] The copy at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC appears to bear a copyright notice.[8]- Of course Carl is right! Forgot about the date... Lupo 20:29, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

- The Dancer & Gazelles sculpture appears to be from 1916.[9] Lupo's link also shows it was marked copyrighted in 1916. That means it is {{PD-1923}}, and the photo is OK. Otherwise, agree with Lupo. Carl Lindberg (talk) 17:09, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- Keep Prometheus and Young Lincoln, i.e. files File:Rockefeller Center Sculpture.JPG, File:Statue at Rockefeller Centre.jpg, File:Rockefeller Center MAM.JPG, File:Prometheus at Rockefeller Center by David Shankbone.jpg, File:Prometeo.JPG, File:PMYoungLincoln-1.jpg, and File:PMYoungLincoln-2.jpg: Prometheus is from 1934, and Lincoln from 1932. Appears these sculptures would be {{PD-US-no notice}}. + File:Paul Manship-PMDancer&Gazelles.jpg {{PD-1923}}. I make no expression of opinion regarding the others. ~ Kalki (talk) 07:29, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
