Pictures from 20minutos.es with byline "ARCHIVO"

[edit]

It was proven numerous times that "ARCHIVO" pictures from 20minutos.es are NOT created by 20minutos.es. See previous DRs:

So I think it's time to delete all pictures with this byline. --Trycatch (talk) 21:01, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, that archivo seems to have a wide variety of sources, maybe because the "archivo" title is only used to keep a collection of photos published by the paper, despite the origins of the images. Anna (Cookie) (talk) 19:44, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment @closing admin. In case of deletion result SMP asks for replacement of heavily used picture File:Jordi Pujol i Soley.jpg with File:Jordi Pujol.JPG (or other free picture) using CommonsDelinker. There are other pictures that can be easily replaced in the articles, but old captions may be invalid for new pictures. Trycatch (talk) 22:07, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The maybe wrong caption forbids us to autoreplace the images, and an Commons admins duty is not to make an editorial choice and select an image for articles in various languages. For the File:Jordi Pujol i Soley.jpg the author is not 20minutos nor "Foto: Archivo", the author is David Aguilar, EFE. See EXIF. Just another example where 20minutos forgot their obligation to attribute and made something free that is per their own definitons not free. --Martin H. (talk) 10:19, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong captions is not a problem, because in this case the captions contain only generic descriptions (I've checked it by myself) related to the person, not to this particular photograph. Trycatch (talk) 10:53, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted. Sorry, per Martin H., I am not going to replace every use of every image above. Wknight94 talk 15:58, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
