[edit]See legal information in museodelprado.com. The works created by the Museo del Prado have all rights reserved. If it is low-resolution version, commercial use and derivative works are prohibited. If it is high-resolution version, it's necesary an write authorization y to pay an canon. This is incompatible with the Wikimedia Commons license. For this reason I nominate this images: Special:ListFiles/Tiberioclaudio99. - Speedy keep. See {{PD-Art}}: The official position taken by the Wikimedia Foundation is that "faithful reproductions of two-dimensional public domain works of art are public domain". This photographic reproduction is therefore also considered to be in the public domain in the United States. In other jurisdictions, re-use of this content may be restricted; see Reuse of PD-Art photographs for details. Strakhov (talk) 20:24, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- Comment I wrote a email to museo.nacional@museodelprado.es to ask why they say those works in particular have copyright. --Metrónomo's truth of the day: "That was also done by the president" not an excuse. 23:00, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
- Comment Probably because in Spain they may be in fact copyrighted for 25 years. Maybe not. It's difficult. The thing is Wikimedia Foundation has chosen not to care abut this little national legal details as far as "sweat of the brow" is involved and to apply only American legislation (the one appliable with files uploaded to a web hosted in the United States, for example: Wikimedia Commons). Personally, I'm fine with that. Strakhov (talk) 08:29, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
