I seriously doubt Iraqi money is licensed and released under GNU. Laws aside from copyrights (counterfitting and etc) must be restricting the images as well since its money after all. --Cat out 12:18, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- Comment I think in an ideal world Iraqi money would be released for free use (with the central bank retaining copyright), and a scan of it could be released under GNU noting the Central Bank's copyright on the note itself. Unfortunately I see no copyright statement on the Central Bank of Iraq website :(--Bdamokos 18:54, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- I do not believe legaly it would be ok for me to adjust the serial number and print the money. GNU would allow that IMHO. In any case GNU is entierly inaprporate. Its either PD (or copyrighted free use) or not. --Cat out 12:09, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- I think the copyright laws itself would grant you that right (PD and Copyrighted Free use as well in my opinion). Anti-Counterfeiting laws would prohibit that, and also most modern image editors worsen the quality if they recognise that you wanna edit or print out an image of a banknote.--Bdamokos 15:09, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- We tend to delete any money images, to be on the safe side. Barring some clear reference that this is OK to reproduce, Delete ++Lar: t/c 07:15, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- Deleted. Nothing suggests any kind of free licence. --Cat out 19:20, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
