Inaccurate tramway rail diagrams
[edit]Inaccuracy at variance to established practice and published refs. Also original research bordering on sheer creative fiction, rather than documentation. These are simply not how rail and tram lines are constructed.
See also Commons:Deletion requests/Inaccurate railway locomotive diagrams for other railway diagrams by the same author, with much the same problem. --Andy Dingley (talk) 21:16, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Delete these are either an elaborate hoax, or some very wild guesswork. More harm than good. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:29, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Delete Just read the description. "The reclaimed metal from the cutting) can be either sold, or used to create new rails; both methods will help decrease the cost of improving/enlarging the rail network. " What the heck?- Aalox (Say Hello • My Work) 21:55, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- Keep As mentioned at the other batch deletion proposal, own work is allowed at wikimedia commons. The images are made to give a general idea on how to decrease the cost of rails (which is a significant problem in rail transport). Would refine the images further depending on user suggestions. - Please check
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Project_scope and http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:What_Commons_is_not#Commons_is_not_Wikipedia these prove my point here KVDP (talk) 15:53, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Well, the left bottom panel of File:Tram and train undercarriage.png is very strange indeed - the wheels are not on the track... /Pieter Kuiper (talk) 09:22, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
- Comment -- KVDP is the originator of these diagrams. -- PeterJewell (talk) 12:21, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

- Delete -- these diagrams appear to have been created without reference to established practice, and the illustrator appears to have little knowledge of civil or railway engineering. Allowing these to remain at Commons could mislead other users. -- PeterJewell (talk) 12:21, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
