• According to [1] the author of the photograph is Pyotr Ivanovich Shumov. According to [2] Pyotr Ivanovich Shumov died in 1936. Thus, the photograph is {{PD-old}}. I have changed the tag accordingly Alex Bakharev (talk) 02:41, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

  Good work, but the photo pointed to by the first link is different from Image:Tsvetaeva.jpg. Do you mean this one? Please could you confirm the Russian text states that Shumov took this photograph?   Also, do we know if it is PD in the USA as well as Russia? As I understand it, images published after 1923 need to satisfy the conditions of PD-URAA per Commons:Copyright tags#Non-U.S. works. Papa November (talk) 08:09, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

  It is PD in France there it was created and almoste everywhere, but USA. I have put {{Not-PD-US-URAA}}
