From what I can tell, all of these are non-free book covers. There may be a few that are simple enough to pass under COM:TOO, but there's not very many. These seem to simply have been grabbed from a Flickr account because they had the CCBYSA license, without regard to the fact that every single one of them are derivative of copyrighted works.

List of 456 files.

Hi @GreenMeansGo. The files are being transfered to commons from the flickr account of the publisher, that owns the copyright of the covers and has decided to release them under cc-by sa. --Zeroth (talk) 15:07, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Well it looks like basically a brand new Flickr account, and maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see where it's verified, or even where they claim in prose to be affiliated with the company or in what way. Their website also doesn't seem to link back to the Flickr. Assuming the Flickr account is legitimate, the book covers themselves contain hundreds of photographs and works of art, and just because the publisher bought the rights to use them on their books, it's not clear that they own the exclusive rights to all the original media so that they could license them under CCBYSA. I can send an email or follow other procedure with the publisher to verify the flickr account and receive assurances as to the ownership of the covers. What do you think?.--Zeroth (talk) 15:27, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah. I don't see why that wouldn't work. But we would need a verifiable statement saying that the Flickr account is legit, they intend to release these under the applicable license, and that they own the full rights to all of the works they use on their covers, meaning full ownership, and not just the right to use them on the cover. Perfect. I'll ask them to state that on the flickr account and some kind of link to it from their webpage. I think its is a good opportunity also to establish some kind of glam project with them. I'll keep this page updated with that matters and stop importing more covers until i have those reassurances.--Zeroth (talk) 15:35, 11 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've received a reply from Ediciones Trilce. They will add the information to the flickr account and will link the flickr from the webpage. I'll give you updates as soon as they do any of those things.--Zeroth (talk) 16:44, 15 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@GreenMeansGo. The publisher has linked the official webpage of Trilce Ediciones with his Flickr account, that now has the text "Flickr de Ediciones Trilce. Creado para compartir libremente las portadas que son propiedad de Trilce y de las cuales posee todos los derechos y otros materiales gráficos. Las portadas pueden ser usadas en Wikipedia o cualquier otro proyecto, siempre que se respete la licencia CC BY SA 4.0 que implica uso para cualquier propósito citando autor y origen." (Flickr of Ediciones Trilce. Created to share freely the covers that are owned and copyrighted by Trilce and other graphic materials. The covers can be used in Wikipedia or any other project, provided that the CC BY SA 4.0 licence is respected, which allows use for any purpose citing author and origin.".--Zeroth (talk) 13:25, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
