The files provide no educational purpose for Wikimedia projects. It seems like they have been uploaded just to illustrate the Russian Wikipedia article Train surfing which is currently being discussed for deletion due to lots of non-encyclopedic propaganda of this dangerous hobby you may find there. Btw, it seems VERY outlandish to me to callthe motif of this image a "train surfing" (though this particular image seems OK to me, concerning both copyright and educational purpose). Looking at this, I can only guess that the uploader is "on a mission" here, so that we should not provide a place for him here on Commons to glorify this kind of "fun" which causes several deaths and injuries nearly every week. A couple of illustrative images on this topic would be OK. But Commons should not provide train surfers any facility to host their images and videos. This has nothing to do with the project scope of Commons.

  • Keep File:Sapsan backside climb 2.jpg; it's being used appropriately at en:wp and seemingly appropriately at de:wp. No comment on any other particular files, but since the nominator either omitted this fact for this image or didn't observe that it was an issue, I'm forced to question the nominator's conclusion that these images are out of scope. • *  Keep. I've uploaded these files not only for illustration of the single article "Train surfing" on Russian wiki, but for creating a big illustrative media-collection about riding on outside of trains (Category:Train surfing and it's subcategories) such as other media-collections about riding on other vehicles (Category:Cycling, Category:Motorcycling and etc.), so I upload all free files related to train surfing, including my own files (I am one of Russian trainsurfers) and free files from Flickr, historical archives and etc; and I think that «A couple of illustrative images on this topic would be OK» is not correct opinion. These files have educational purposes for Wikimedia projects, because they illustrate riding outside of different types of trains and carriages in different places of them, they illustrate phenomenon of train surfing in different countries; also they illustrate Category:Views from outside of trains as a part of Category:Views from trains. Some of these files can be used in articles about trains, their parts and railroad lines - for example, File:ER2R Resistors.jpg illustrates article about train brake resistors, and File:Sapsan meets trainsurfers.jpg illustrates article about 2010 in rail transport of Russia, because a lot of people in Russia surfed trains during that year due to overcrowding of them and strong heat, and high-speed trains "Sapsans" appeared there at the same time. Also some of these files can be useful for categories about trains (such as ER2), because they illustrate how and where passengers can ride on them. Moreover, in the future I plan to write articles about train surfing in Russian sections of Wikibooks (how to-guides) and Hitchwiki (wiki about hitchhiking and travelling), and these files would be very useful and illustrative for these projects. In addition, train surfing is not a hobby, it's a type of travel, like cycling, motorbiking and other types of riding. In summary, I don't see any reason for deletion. • PS. Article about train surfing on Russian wiki has been nominated for deletion not for propaganda, but for unreliable sources and using unacceptable style and register for Wikipedia. At the present time, this article contains a much less material without reliable sources and deleted sections of this article are under rewriting; so even in case of deletion this article will be rewriten later, and these files will be useful to illustrate it too. Deleted: Kept one per Nyttend. I share the view that we should not be glorifying deadly activities. .     Jim . . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 14:40, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Commons is not a social network, and neither a place to promote illegal and dangerous activites (does not apply to the last two). All four seem to be personal images (the second even Own work) with very little to no educational value. Also per above.
