All of these show logos quite clearly and so are copyright violations in my opinion. DR is solely due to the fact we have hosted these files for sometime

Keep The logos themselves are {{PD-textlogo}} and wouldn't meet the threshold of originality. russavia (talk) 09:47, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
Delete per COM:ADVERT. These are the only images in Category:Electronic cigarettes with a prominent brand logo besides File:Электронная сигарета Bezdymov Power.jpg (the logo is somewhat out of focus) which looks to have been uploaded by a company rep and isn't used in any article. We even have an alternative with the logo completely blurred: File:Ecignewgen.jpg. There are plenty of images that illustrate the topic in Category:Electronic cigarettes without showing prominent promotional logos. INeverCry 17:11, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
Comment The second image is used on Russian Wikipedia, so COM:ADVERT would not apply. (see Commons:PS#Must be realistically useful for an educational purpose) -Pete F (talk) 17:18, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- I noticed the link to ru:Электронная сигарета, but I dont see the image displayed anywhere in the article. I would also point out that these images were all added to that article by the uploader back in early 2011 and atleast the two pack images were removed by other users. I wouldn't be completely against keeping the second image if the logo on the box was blurred. File:Ecignewgen.jpg is a ready logo-free alternative to the other 2 images of packs. - I think the file pointed to by INC is very useful. We are here to host images that assist other projects in the main. A picture of an ecig is very useful however we do not need to offer one with a logo.
- I certainly still feel that the branding on these products is enough to be copyrighted. --Herby talk thyme 17:33, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
- Strange -- I no longer even see the ru.wiki link on the file page. I don't know what happened.
- As an editorial matter for Wikipedia, I don't generally believe logos should be blurred -- but if the file is not used on a Wikipedia project, that doesn't matter. I now agree, Delete per COM:ADVERT applies. -Pete F (talk) 17:46, 19 January 2013 (UTC)
