Bronislav Malakhovsky (Бронислав Малаховский) was repressed in 1937 and rehabilitated in 1958 [1]. In this case "countdown of copyright protection began not from the death date, but from the rehabilitation date" (Template:PD-Russia). Therefore these images will be in PD in January 1, 2029.

  • @Juggler2005: Do you have more sources as an evidence of rehabilitation? Which court or prosecutor's office? Exact date? See [2], [3], where many people listed with exact data given and no any mention of the rehabilitation of Malakhovsky. Sealle (talk) 15:04, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • Oh, I have many questions, too. Do you have at least one source that the artist was not rehabilitated at all? Do you have evidence that the Sakharov Center can't be trusted? Etc., etc. --Juggler2005 (talk) 15:25, 20 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I entered into correspondence (can be sent on request by email) with Inna Shcekotova, the Manager of the Sakharov Center Archive Library and Anatoly Razumov, the author of the Leningrad Martyrology. Nobody can confirm so far the information about Malakhovsky's rehabilitation. Moreover, nobody can give a source for that info. Still go on searching. • А. Я. Разумов: Реабилитирован Военным трибуналом ЛВО 8 января 1958 за отсутствием состава преступления. / Anatoly Razumov: He has been rehabilitated according to the verdict of the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District on January, 8th, 1958 due to absence of corpus delicti. So  Delete. One more file: File:Venyamin Kaverin by Bronislav Malakhovsky.jpg. :( Sealle (talk) 14:34, 29 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet period photos with unclear copyright status. There is no evidence that authors died 70 years ago.

COM:EVID: "In all cases the uploader must provide appropriate evidence to demonstrate that the file is in the public domain. In all cases, the burden of proof lies on the uploader." --Juggler2005 (talk) 18:16, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

{{PD-Russia}}:

>>> article 6 of Law No. 231-FZ of the Russian Federation of December 18, 2006; the Implementation Act for Book IV of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation:

2. This work was originally published anonymously or under a pseudonym before January 1, 1943 and the name of the author did not become known during 50 years after publication. --213.87.139.242 15:10, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Keep "Proving" anon publication and 50 years of the author not becoming known would be a monumental and likely impossible task for one file, never mind multiple files. With this particular license, the logical approach is to accept the claim unless there's evidence to the contrary. INeverCry 23:12, 27 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
