This deletion discussion is now closed. Please do not make any edits to this archive. You can read the deletion policy or ask a question at the Village pump. If the circumstances surrounding this file have changed in a notable manner, you may re-nominate this file or ask for it to be undeleted.
The subject depicted in these works have raised concerns over non-consensual upload of these pictures in Ticket#2018090510004741 and have asked for their deletion. I think the concerns need to be addressed as per Commons:Photographs of identifiable people.

- Hi Jcb. Can you please address this case? --Mhhossein talk 09:59, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- The original permission is fine from a copyright perspective. The message from the depicted person seems weak to me, as these pictures seem to be from a photoshoot that had the specific purpose of having free pictures from the Wikimedia Indonesia board members at Commons. May be deleted as out of scope though, the depicted person being non-notable. She seems to have played some role in a Wikimedia chapter, we know nothing more on here. Her tremendous contribution of 2 global edits does not tell us much either. Jcb (talk) 14:58, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
- Jcb: I don't think the recent email could have been from anyone else but the subject. Moreover, I don't know how the amount of her contributions can be related to her request for deletion of her photos. I pinged you since you had asked her to contact OTRS. Per Removal requests, "the subject, photographer, or uploader of an image may request that it be removed from Commons. The reasons for removal may include such things as "It causes embarrassment" or "It was published without my consent", etc." Regards. --Mhhossein talk 11:20, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
- I don't doubt that the person who sent this message is the depicted person. I doubt that there would not have been consent, given the nature of the photoshoot. On the other hand I have been unable to find a reason why these pictures would be in scope. I found so little on her, even not more than two edits, for a (former?) board member of a Wikimedia chapter, that I see no reason to keep these files. If it would be a courtesy deletion I am not convinced. But I would support deletions of these pictures as 'out of scope' and I think she will be happy anyway. Jcb (talk) 14:45, 6 September 2018 (UTC)
- Jcb: I agree, the 'out of scope' issue seems logical, too. So, please proceed with that. --Mhhossein talk 07:31, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
- @Jcb: It's a reminder. I think you were to delete the works on the 'out of scope basis. --Mhhossein talk 11:59, 10 September 2018 (UTC)
