Although these banners are sourced to CC-licensed photographs, they’re photographs of murals and there is no no freedom of panorama in the US, meaning copyright belongs to the mural artists, not the photographers.

Thank you both for the ongoing education. I learn something new each time. I have changed all 4 images marked for deletion to images from Commons and countries with Freedom of Panorama, i.e., Spain, Germany, Canada and Australia. RZadok (talk) 16:22, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@RZadok Thank you for your responding so quickly. I know copyright rules get complicated. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 16:24, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So complicated, but also so great to have people open to explaining the issues. Thanks again. RZadok (talk) 16:32, 16 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for uploading new versions of these images. The following images look good:
OK File:ISA 2024 campaign headers 1.png
OK File:ISA 2024 campaign header 2.png
The following might still have issues because there does not appear to be freedom of panorama for artistic works in Canada and Australia's FoP rules are murky
The European Union seems to be more permissive about freedom of panorama (but the UK is not), if you're looking for free images. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 16:38, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Arg. Indeed. I am explaining FOP to Rachel and she will come up with some replacements... Anthere (talk)

So... I am unsure what is now the situation of this last one... File:ISA 2024 campaign header 3.png. Can someone help ? Anthere (talk) 21:24, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Revdelled three. Australia's one might still present issues but I decided to keep since courts are unclear. Deleted the Canadian one because there is no FOP for 2D graphical works in Canada. --Abzeronow (talk) 01:30, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
