Out of scope: Private group photo that is not used. Commons is not a private travel photo album.--Kai3952 (talk) 13:28, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

UUhm.... what photo? Do you mean all of my 1000s photos should be deleted? Or is there a specific one? I feel a bit like this is a personal attack. If you don't like my contributions lets talk about it, but I'm not sure what you are going on about. Without a specified image I think this request should be closed ASAP. Nesnad (talk) 15:47, 13 March 2018 (UTC) EDIT: ohhhhh... I see them listed on my talk page. Maybe they should be listed here. Those do have people in them, and they can be blurred if you don't like people in the photos but showing scenes of a station is not out of scope? It shows those stations in Taiwan from different angles. I also see no problem with having people in the photos. It shows local people and how they live, that's part of the historical commitment we are making here on Commons. Nesnad (talk) 15:50, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Nesnad: Sorry. The nominated photo is as follows:
@Nesnad: What I saw in the file was they took a family photo while traveling. Obviously a souvenir photo! So therefore, I think that this file may not be educationally useful for much.--Kai3952 (talk) 12:36, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
One quick point I forgot to say. We should not use Wikimedia Commons as a private travel photo album.--Kai3952 (talk) 12:55, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. These are not my photos so not a "private album" and like I said, if you don't like the people, we can discuss blurring them or something, but I see nothing wrong with having local people in the shots. The better action is to discuss that than to just throw up a deletion request. I think people shoot first ask questions later around here. You are a bit running around with a gun when civil discussion would work too. Cheers, Nesnad (talk) 15:55, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think so. Family photo's is a private photo, so I think out of scope. Unless the photographer is not photographing them directly front on. For example, this photo: File:泰國-曼谷恐龍樂園 (31505803574).jpg, it is not photographing specific people, so I will not nominate it for deletion.--Kai3952 (talk) 09:07, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That is literally a photo of a dinosaur butt with a watermark in the corner. You think that one is more in scope? Why? We have many group photos of families. Category:Group_photographs_of_families --- Do you have something against Taiwanese people? I don't see how they are bad or out of scope. It's a valuable representation of who they are and also the locations that they chose to share with us. I don't see what would be gained by deleting these pictures? If it is like this, please you take a look at Commons:Deletion requests/File:TRA Gangshan Station (36627397595).jpg, why does the administrator agree to delete? I think you should say to Jameslwoodward, so please don't bother me again regarding this matter.--Kai3952 (talk) 07:44, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination - Flickr was a good place for these. Commons is not, as we have little use for family photo album pix. We wouold deleted these if they were taken by the uploader. Their being of strangers is even less likely for them to be useful here. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 10:37, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
