Out of COM:SCOPE user-generated flags, unused duplicates of pre-existing flags, and one or two culled indiscriminately from personal blogs; violation of COM:NOTHOST, COM:SELFIE, COM:EV. A realistic educational purpose is a policy requirement for all Commons files. All files with no such purpose must be deleted: "Wikimedia Commons is not your personal free web host".

Keep they are simple geometry flags, just uncopyrightable stripes with colors. Not a big deal--Iunan (talk) 22:52, 22 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And what exactly do we need just uncopyrightable stripes with colors for, prithee? GPinkerton (talk) 03:42, 23 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment You seem to be throwing everything but the kitchen sink at these files. Can you be more specific about which ones you want to delete as "unused duplicates", and which ones you think are lacking "realistic educational purpose"? --Brainy J (talk) 21:35, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

They are all unused. I would say they are all equally (and separately) unusable. GPinkerton (talk) 12:24, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Keep LoL. They're unused only because you removed them from where they were used. MikutoH (talk) 22:55, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

 Comment Oh wow that's really playing dirty. 136.49.236.110 04:43, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Keep per MikutoH's observation, GPinkerton did actually go and remove all these from where they were used, then came to Commons and declared them "unused". That's foul play if ever I saw it.--Brainy J (talk) 05:23, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Brainy J: "foul play"? Wikipedia has sources for verification. Removing unsourced self-promotional material inserted by single-purpose accounts is necessary, not "foul play" ... GPinkerton (talk) 11:29, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You seriously think that queer pride flags, even such well-known ones as the asexual flag, are "self-promotional material". Lordy. I'll wait and see what closing admins think. Brainy J (talk) 13:40, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know where you're getting that inference from. All I removed was a file. GPinkerton (talk) 15:37, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, these are files, and these are files depicting various queer pride flags, and these are files that you said should be removed because they're "self-promotional material". I'm not inferring anything I'm just stating the obvious omg lol. Brainy J (talk) 19:42, 4 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Comment The weird thing about File:Bandeira do orgulho Trigênero.png specifically is that the colors are very "off" from how the trigender flag usually is. Compare to the other files in Category:Trigender symbols, or to the trigender stripes in the Blue's Clues Pride Parade video (Screenshot here: https://i.imgur.com/rsTfoAN.png). File:Bandeira do orgulho Assexual.png is slightly off in color as well. --Brainy J (talk) 22:22, 12 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Again, and as I mentioned on the discussion for Учхљёная’s uploads, I'm concerned (as might other WMLGBT+ User Group members be) at the repeated mass deletion requests affecting LGBTQ+ Pride flags. Removing them from articles before listing them for deletion feels like foul play to me — if you want to list files for deletion, it is more usual to leave them in the articles until they are deleted; removing them first feels like misdirection, whether intentionally so or not. — OwenBlacker (talk; please ping me in replies) 18:32, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: these flags do not show copyright problems. There is no consensus for deletion, therefore decided to keep. --Ellywa (talk) 19:21, 13 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
