  •  Keep for all photographs (not graphics) taken directly from the book. The book wa published by the Topografische Inrichting Weltevreden in Batavia (the city known today as Jakarta). Per Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Indonesia, photographs are protected by copyright in Indonesia for a term of 50 years after publication. So if we take Indonesia as the source country for that 1925 publication (and I don't see why not, even if it was still a Dutch colony then), any photographs (but not drawings) taken directly from the book should be ok to keep with {{PD-IDOld-Art59}}, regardless of the actual photographer. --Rosenzweig τ 16:06, 11 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: The source of this file is this book, written in the local language (not in Dutch), although the author is probably from the Netherlands and possibly returned to the Netherlands after WWII or earlier. So we can safely assume the Indonesian copyright is applicable to this file. From Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Indonesia it appears that “for photographs, portraits, cinematographic works, derived works and collected works, copyright lasts for 50 years from publication”. One image File:Tremwegen.jpg is not a photo, but a sort of logo. This can be seen as applied art. For this protection lasts for 25 years since the first publication. As this book dates from 1925, all images can be maintained and all images are in PD since 1975, well before the URAA date, so they are in PD in the USA as well. The text however, will be copyrighted in Indonesia 70 years p.m.a. These files do not contain text. So all can be kept. --Ellywa (talk) 12:05, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
