Delete According to Commons:Copyright_rules_by_territory/Russia#Freedom_of_panorama there is no freedom of panorama exception for monuments or sculptures. Those designed or created by artists who are dead 70+ years are ok as are de minimis images. France also has no FoP exception.

- I was not aware of it. If you delete my files please also delete those from everyone else under https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Novodevichy_cemetery_(Moscow) and sub-categories. There are many more photographed tombs, I'm not alone. vip (talk) 20:08, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Please also note that many of the 1000+ photographs in this category have been imported 5 years ago during WLM. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Monuments_database_in_Russia#No_FoP_in_Russia states: "If you see a potential candidate for deletion, inform us in the first place". Can you please do that before deleting my files? vip (talk) 20:12, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Don-vip: I only nominated your images that appear to be modern and the main feature of the photo. I'll review what you say and have posted a note at Commons talk:Monuments database in Russia. The notice you refer to seems rather unclearly written for general readers; I think it should be more precise. Ww2censor (talk) 21:50, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Ww2censor: Mirepoix memorial is not modern, it has been built in 1920. Strictly speaking, I agree I would have to wait 6 years until the monument enters the public domain (sculptor died in 1956)... For Russian tombs I have no idea nor any way to check. But other pictures of the tomb of Boris Yeltsin are used on Wikipedia for more than 10 years and nobody complained before. vip (talk) 23:23, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Please exclude Chekhov grave from this deletion request. If I trust Wikimedia Commons the sculptor died in 1937. vip (talk) 23:28, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Please also exclude Tretiakov grave. He died in 1898. vip (talk) 02:41, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
