All of these works have been tagged {{PD-IRAQ}}, which requires that the work was published more than fifty years ago and that the work was anonymous. There is no proof of publication and while the author may be unknown, there is no proof that he was anonymous.

What proof is needed? All of these photos are 50 years old and until now no one has claimed to be the author of these photos. Right now they are in public domain. We need these photos to use them in the history of Kurdistan and Kurdish people. Please tell me what do I need to know about them. Jim Thanks. --Diyar Muhammed (talk) 18:54, 28 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It is unfortunate that there are many old photos that we would like to have for use on WP that we cannot keep because we do not know enough about them. These probably fall into that class. It is up to you to prove that they are PD, probably by showing that they were published before 1966. In each case, we will need the name of the publication and the date. .     Jim . . . .  Delete "20th century" is not enough to prove {{PD-Iraq}}. File:Piramerd - Kurdish Poet and Writer.jpg will be affected. I think all images uploaded by this user should be deleted because Diyar Muhammed is the SOCK of Diyar se. What do you think Mr. Hedwig in Washington ?
