Bogus license. Who are the illustrator and when did they die? Permission?

@Patrick Rogel and DALIBRI: Please don't delete this files. Postcards are often whitout any information about the artist or photograph. Mostly you can find only the publisher. For example in File:AK - Fröhliche Weihnachten - 1913 D.jpg you found a little logo on the adressside of the postcard. With the Logos of postcard publishers you can find the Category:Postcards published by Winkler & Voigt, Leipzig. We have in this case over 500 postcards under public domain. See also COM:WPPC. -- sk (talk) 13:45, 16 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Stefan Kühn: for these informations and the categorization of some of the images and letting me discover the Postcard project. Unfortunately uploader @DALIBRI: doesn't seems keen to correctly describe the files he uploads. As a license reviewer I can say that "unknow author" and {{PD-old}} are not compatible so he has to correct the file descriptions. Regarding the publication dates around 1910 another discussion makes me think that these postcards may be still copyrighted. --Patrick Rogel (talk) 10:56, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Patrick Rogel, DALIBRI, Rc1959, and Taivo: When I show at Commons:Hirtle chart and search for "{{PD-US-expired}}". The second result is under "Works First Published Outside the U.S. by citizens of foreign nations...". So I see we can use "Before 1925" for this postcards and use:"{{PD-US-expired}}". But we have to look also at the country laws for example "Germany" under Commons:Copyright_rules_by_territory/Consolidated_list_E-H#Germany you have to use there the old methods. So we have "published work" also "anonymous and pseudonymous works" so in this case the copyright is "70 years after publication". Today 2020 - 70 years = publishing bevor 1950, if the author not known and not writen on this postcards! All IMHO. -- sk (talk) 11:26, 17 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the license from PD-old to anonymous-EU and PD-1923 for File:AK - Fröhliche Weihnachten - 1914 A.jpg. Maybe this should be done for more of these files. PD-Old should not be used for orphan files.Smiley.toerist (talk) 22:14, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The ones where I could find an old date I changed the license. Until File:Litho - München - Marienplatz - Prout - um 1830.jpg. This one is really PD-Old (1830). A reprint does not really matter. They didnt have postcards then.Smiley.toerist (talk) 22:35, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
