Promotional / Not-notable. Also see, Category:Sockpuppets of Anuragjha17. @Krd: Are we accepting photo's permission from Non-notable persons?

Conterquestion: Is it the duty of the VRT member to determine notability of the subject, and do they / should they have discretion to refuse permission in non-obvious cases of notability? I don't think so. --Krd 11:21, 8 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Just to clarify, we are no sockpuppet of anyone, please stop assuming things Mr. Tulsi Bhagat and the pictures in no way intends to promote anything or anyone as it is just a public event held in the city and the person you’re speaking about was eligible to attend it, therefore being photographed in it. As for the notability the person is notable and has been covered in articles by reputed publications and is a well known actor/director from Nagpur. As far as we are aware there is no notability criteria for Commons as compared to Wikipedia and alike. And even if there is the subject is much qualified for the same. Going through the deleted archive history of the category it looks like you’ve got a personal problem from the subject, you’re trying rigorously to announce him non notable. BollyNewslocal (talk)

Kept: While the individual images may be borderline promotional, I still think they are within the project scope of Commons since they illustrate the events at a film screening. Moreover, there are various actors depicted instead of focusing on Anurag Jha only. Add to that that Commons does not have a notability requirement like Wikipedia, but media here need to have an educational context. The latter can be found here in my opinion. --De728631 (talk) 19:33, 16 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
