  • There are at least four different types of situations in the request:
    • 1. Keep files showing artworks by the artist herself and that do not potentially involve anyone else's copyright. The identity of the uploader has been established to the unanimous satisfaction of participants in the first discussion, since her first uploads, almost ten years ago. You may say that we are more demanding today than we were 10 years ago. Maybe. Anyway, besides that, and more importantly, OTRS is not the only accepted method to verify the identity of uploaders. We do not require OTRS when public evidence is already available. The artist mentions explicitly her Commons account on the contact page of her public website. That is clear and sufficient evidence. Now, someone might try to fall back on another excuse for deletion and say okay, there's no problem with the copyright, but it's out of scope. I would agree with that in other circumstances, but after looking at the images, in this case, I think that the images hold a fair potential for being useful to someone (and with an average of about only 3 images per year, the user can't be said to exaggerate in the number of her contributions).
    • 2. Comment On two photographs (File:La byzantine, une poule and author - Byzantin, hen and author.jpg and File:Panthere aux yeux d'or devant auteure - Panther with gold eyes and the author.jpg), the user can be seen on the photos and they do not look like selfies. This would require either an explanation or a permission, if another photographer is involved.
    • 3. Delete File:Peinture représentant le portrait de Camille Pelletan par Louis Welden Hawkins vers 1880.JPG, unless the uploader withdraws her copyright claim on this image. The image is a faithful reproduction of a public domain painting (painter dead in 1910). The problem is that the policy of Wikimedia Commons forbids its contributors from claiming a copyright for themselves on such reproductions.
    • 4. Delete File:Portrait-paul-denise-par-georges-streib-1930.jpg, unless the uploader withdraws her copyright claim on he image. The image is a faithful reproduction of a painting by a painter who died in 1940. That makes the painting public domain in its country of origin but perhaps not for the URAA in the United States. If that were the only question, the decision would depend on which side the closing admin stands on the matter of the URAA. Anyway, for now, there is the same problem mentioned above with the copyright claim on the reproduction.

Kept: most files, fixed the licensing of two PD-old files and deleted the files depicting the uploader. --Jcb (talk) 21:24, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
