Files of User:RockStar50

[edit]

These upload above don't have the real OTRS permissions. The uploader just found the images without given permission of the author whose images are on Commons --Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 15:30, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Delete them all. These images have been here for 4-7 weeks. That's too long. This DR needs to be closed as delete ASAP. The photographer released other pictures of these 3 subjects for Commons but not these 3 particular photos. This is called stealing a photo unless there is a genuine OTRS permission message which no one has processed yet. --Leoboudv (talk) 02:17, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The permission "2011051310004129" is used on 6 files:

  1. File:Maria Canals Barrera 2010.jpg - matches http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/5091243514/ and is not mentioned on the list below
  2. File:Doc Shaw 2010.jpg - number 4 on the list below
  3. File:David DeLuise 2010.jpg - number 6 on the list below
  4. File:Jake T.Austin 2010.jpg - number 2 on the list below
  5. File:Joey King 2010.jpg - number 3 on the list below
  6. File:Allisyn Ashley Arm 2010.jpg - matches http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/4953160104 and is not mentioned on the list below

The user asked for permission to these photos:

  1. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/4952622099 - file is not on Commons or en-wiki?
  2. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/5013610563 - number 4 on the list above
  3. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/5070117125 - number 5 on the list above
  4. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/4953148912 - number 2 on the list above
  5. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/4953198730 - file is not on Commons or en-wiki?
  6. http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexirob/4952615005 - number 3 on the list above

But the permission may have been taken as a "You can use all my photos" by the uploader. I will ask the flickr user unless someone is allready in contact with the user. --MGA73 (talk) 10:10, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

These are good quality images and its good if MGA73 can contact the user and get the license changed in flickr. As per policy, the images not part of the OTRS ticket has to be deleted as the flickr user did not release liceses for all his images in the OTRS ticket. --Sreejith K (talk) 17:54, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Delete, especially File:Corbin Bleu December, 2010.jpg is a reupload of File:CorbinBleuDec10 2.jpg, Nehrams2020, who managed to get the other valid permissions nominated that previous upload for speedydeletion because some guy (User:Amazing.O aka Chace Watson) got it wrong and thought, just because Angela George gave permission for reuse of some of her files he can take everything from her. Thats not how it works. And now it happened again. I think it is no surprise that the new uploader is again most likely a sockpuppet of this Chace Watson sockpuppeteer who is very resistant to learning. Nehrams cared in the past already if there is a permission for File:Corbin Bleu December, 2010.jpg, there is no permission. This are ordinary copyright violations, starting an iterative process now of stealing first, asking later isnt helpful, its a disincentive for the copyright holders to donate their works. --Martin H. Actually, I had asked the author to release images on list above to cc-by but at last, I requested for replacing 2 photos (for bad quality) and she agreed. but I forwarded the original flickrmail. If you want I will forward it to OTRS again so the 2 replaced images won't be freely licensed. And also, I am the person who asked nehrams2020 about File:CorbinBleuDec10 2.jpg whether it is free or not. At first, I think it had proper OTRS ticket because I saw Jcb in the edit history but nehrams said it was not the image he got permission from Angela George and he requested speedy deletion after that. But I usually contact with him by FlickrMail ( he also have an account on Flickr). Contact with him for more details --Hoangquan hientrang (talk) 03:26, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes sending all the permissions is always a good idea. We can't guess what you have of permissions in your inbos :-D I merged the new mails to the "old" permission so they are all in the same place. I'll ask Sreejithk2000 to have a look. --MGA73 (talk) 21:21, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
We still don't have permissions for the initial set of images in this DR. --Sreejith K (talk) 18:57, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete The images from Angela George are not valid permission and are just copy-and-pastes of the OTRS for the actual images I asked permission for. The author e-mails me when another editor contacts her asking for images, and she didn't mention the uploader asking for these images. These probably could have just been speedy deleted like the prior File:CorbinBleuDec10 2.jpg. The author has never given an all-encompassing permission for all of her images, she lets us select particular ones and gives permission for those. It would be appreciated if we could get these copyright violations deleted before they're used elsewhere. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 00:27, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Closed and kept one with OTRS and deleted 2 without. --MGA73 (talk) 18:28, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
