Files of User:RCMMuseum

[edit]

These are photographs of paintings and drawings in the Museum of the Royal College of Music in London. There is no evidence (or claim) that RCMMuseum (talk · contribs) represents the Museum. It is unlikely that these paintings and drawings are public domain and there is no evidence of permission from the copyright holders.

The following are definitely in copyright because the artist died less than 70 years ago (after 1947), or is still living:

The copyright position of the the following is unclear because artist's date of death unknown, but they may be in copyright:

  • I support deletion. Everything said in the nomination seems to be true. Also, even if the editor does "represent the museum" there is no evidence that the museum owns the copyright to all these pictures. Owning a physical picture is a very different thing from owning the right to give permission to anyone in the world to create copies of the picture and use them for any purpose, as claimed in the licensing terms given by the uploader. Deleted: per nomination. An OTRS authorisation can be necessary if the copyright was transferred to the Museum somehow. Ruthven (msg) 12:57, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
