There is no freedom of panorama in Italy. Taivo (talk) 07:59, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear @Taivo: these monuments were authorized from the municipality for the contest Wiki Loves Monuments. You can find all authorised monuments in the official lists of the contest here (divided per region and province). Please, remove the deletion request. --Cristian Cenci (WMI) (talk) 10:35, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid, that municipality has no legal power to authorize that. But if the municipality really gave some kind of permission, then I'd like to see that. Taivo (talk) 10:39, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

But the Town Hall is the owner of the statues ...Please, remove the deletion request --User:Bubici

Owing a statue and owing copyright of statue are different. If you buy a book, then you get copy of book, no its copyright. If you buy a CD of music, then you do not become copyright holder of music. Evidence is needed, that town hall owns not only statues, but their copyright also. Taivo (talk) 11:12, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You're generally right, but for WLM, I ask to municipalities to authorise only monuments that they can really authorise (because they are the owners or because they have the permissions from the authors). I'm really careful about this, but in the end I can't know if every stakeholder has the permission from all authors of monuments. In a few days I'll let everybody read the authorisations recieved for WLM. --Cristian Cenci (WMI) (talk) 14:39, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Although the towns may think they have the right to freely license these works, I would be very surprised if that is correct. In order to restore these we will need either (a) free licenses from the creators or (b) licenses from the towns including copies of their written agreement with the creators which allow the towns to freely license the works. .     Jim . . . .
