[edit]

The building was only completed in 2017, while its architect, Renzo Piano, is still alive. So, in practice, and if we take into consideration that there's no FoP (Freedom of Panorama) in Greece, any depiction of this building and its spaces (also designed or decorated by still alive architects and artists) present on Commons should be deleted. Unless, of course, special permission from the main architect or any of the architects and artists involved in this process is received. --🏺ⲈⲨⲐⲨⲘⲈⲚⲎⲊ🏛️ ⲱⲑⲏⲥⲁⲧⲉ 22:50, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed Εὐθυμένης, you are right. According to SNFCC's webpage [t]he material of amateur photography or filming may not be reproduced for commercial reasons in any way, which violates the Commons policy. Furthermore, [p]rofessional photography and filming for commercial, promotional, tourist or artistic reasons in the SNFCC areas are permitted ONLY after the approval of a formal request from the SNFCC. Compensation will be determined based on the conditions and prerequisites that the SNFCC states. So the files in this category should be deleted. At least those which reproduce the building, not the gardens or the environs.-- Texniths (talk) 07:25, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Texniths: Both the [obvious and notable] lack of FOP in Greece + the clear mention on the website of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center should be more than enough as evidence I think, in my humble opinion. 🏺ⲈⲨⲐⲨⲘⲈⲚⲎⲊ🏛️ ⲱⲑⲏⲥⲁⲧⲉ 19:38, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
PS. @Texniths: Regarding the gardens, my stance on this matter is that as long as we're talking solely about plants then, yes, of course they can remain. Because, otherwise, any architectural elements or floral architecture (no idea if this term is right though) that are added or built in the actual location of the gardens seem to fall as well in the [problematic] area of the lack of FOP in Greece. 🏺ⲈⲨⲐⲨⲘⲈⲚⲎⲊ🏛️ ⲱⲑⲏⲥⲁⲧⲉ 19:41, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Εὐθυμένης Yes exactly. The pictures depicting the building, both interior and outdoor, can't be kept in my opinion. Most of the pictures of the gardens can be kept. The views of Athens from SNFCC in this category can be kept.-- Texniths (talk) 21:49, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Texniths: Could you help with the listing that is asked further down? 🏺ⲈⲨⲐⲨⲘⲈⲚⲎⲊ🏛️ ⲱⲑⲏⲥⲁⲧⲉ 21:13, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Εὐθυμένης kindly list photos here that are going to be removed? So that future undeletion will be easier, for future admins to immediately browse through the list instead of tediously going to file logs. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 20:37, 24 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@JWilz12345
These are from the main category Texniths (talk) 08:03, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
From subcategories I think that only the files in the category Category:Events at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center can remain. Texniths (talk) 16:21, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination and per COM:FOP Greece, thanks for the listing. I will nominate the images in the subcategory for deletion. --Ellywa (talk) 20:13, 13 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
