Per Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Germany German stamps are copyrighted until at least 70+ years after the designers death. in this case the designer, Erich Gruner, died in 1966. So these images are copyrighted until at least 2,037.

Deleted: per nomination. These 1947, 1948, 1950 and 1953 stamps are by Gruner together with either Karl Wolf (1894–1966) or Leon Schnell (1888–1961), all named, so 70 years pma (until the end of 2036) apply in Germany. The US copyrights restored by the URAA last a bit longer, so the files can be restored after 95 + 1 years in 2043, 2044, 2046, and 2049, respectively. --Rosenzweig τ 22:30, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: These 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, and 1961 stamps are mostly by Gruner alone, one is once again with Karl Wolf (1894–1966), but the 1961 stamp is with "M. Sachs", that is de:Margot Bitzer, born 1936 and apparently alive. All are named, so 70 years pma apply in Germany. The 1961 stamp will be protected in Germany until 70 years after the death of Margot Bitzer, the other until the end of 2036. The US copyrights restored by the URAA again last a bit longer, so the files can be restored after 95 + 1 years in 2050, 2051, 2052, and 2053, respectively, except for the 1961 stamp, which can be restored 70 years pma Margot Bitzer. --Rosenzweig τ 22:44, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
