[edit]According to email 1081031 from Taiwan's Intellectual Property Bureau, logos of government entities, like any other works, are subject to copyright protection if the originality threshold is met. For such logos, only "fair use" is permitted. There is no copyright exemption for logos of government entities.

- Comment, I'd say tag them for undeletion based on when the copyright expires of the last file in this list. Or perhaps just 70 (seventy) years from now. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 19:53, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: Some of governments' logos are also used as city symbols. While the bureau has indicated that symbol of city and county can be regarded as official document, which means they are applicable for PD-ROC-exempt. As for symbol of lower-level administrative divisions, the bureau didn't mention that. Reference:E-mail 1060120
- Comment: See also 1110516 and 1091104. At least emblems of Kaohsiung City and Taipei City are {{PD-ROC-exempt}}--Mike Rohsopht (talk) 01:16, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- For other seals, maybe someone who lives in Taiwan can ask the respective authorities about whether they were made by "official documents".--Mike Rohsopht (talk) 01:29, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: This is a rather serious accusation. I doubt the basis on those seals is sufficient, especially those under Japanese rule as they have already passed 70yrs from now. Also, I need to stress that the items being mentioned above should be categorised as an official "emblem" or "seal", not a "logo" although lots of Taiwanese mix up these terms. Suffice to say that {{PD-ROC-exempt}} should be able to cover the remaining emblems or seals does not meet the threshold of "originality" or "creativity". -- @assanges (talk | cont | uploads) 14:48, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep, :According to email 1091104All city seals of Taiwan shall not be the subject matter of copyright.Yu tptw (talk) 02:52, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep As per the above. —VulpesVulpes42 (talk) 18:54, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep As per the above. Also, makes no sense to delete the seal but keep the flag with the seal. --Andrei (talk) 11:57, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
Kept: per discussion. If there are isolated cases, please open a DR with a limited number of disputed files. Ruthven (msg) 14:33, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
