Government posters showing creations by artists. The likes of Napoleon Abueva, Eduardo Castrillo, Federico Ilustre and many many many more artists

  •  Delete two important things here. For one, while the posters are indeed published by the government, Section 176.3 of the copyright law states: "Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions, the Government is not precluded from receiving and holding copyrights transferred to it by assignment, bequest or otherwise; nor shall publication or republication by the government in a public document of any work in which copyright is subsisting be taken to cause any abridgment or annulment of the copyright or to authorize any use or appropriation of such work without the consent of the copyright owner. This means, the underlying works' copyrights are still in effect and that publication of images of the underlying works by the government does not negate the subsisting sculptors' copyrights over their public art. Note that it is nearly similar (but not exact) to the U.S. FOP case of Commons:Deletion requests/File:Koreabattery.JPG. Another thing: by looking at some of the other related images in the category, it seems these posters are just temporary installations, as there was an event being conducted there. So FOP, even if passed here, does not apply. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 00:09, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, a third thing, the photos on the posters themselves. Per COM:PRP, we should err on the side of caution which means we cannot automatically assume that the photos of QC landmarks themselves are taken by Quezon City Hall employees or not (perhaps the employees just took stock images of QC landmarks or other people just submitted them, for purposes of printing them on these one-time use posters). Even if that was the case, they should have took pictures during their employment hours, not outside office hours (the photos may have to go if the latter is true). The copyright status of photos used in the posters is thus questionable. Uploader Judgefloro (talk · contribs) should be the one to provide all informations as per COM:EVIDENCE, not admins or longtime users. JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 06:57, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Similar to my concerns at #Files in Category:Quezon City Hall 2, regarding photos contained in the posters that these images depict. We should err on the side of caution which means we cannot automatically assume that the photos themselves are taken by Quezon City Hall employees or not (perhaps the employees just took stock images or other people just submitted them, for purposes of printing them on these one-time use posters). Even if that was the case, they took should have pictures during their employment hours, not outside office hours. The photos may have to go if the latter is truem The copyright status of photos used in the posters is thus questionable.
