- The two "MET" images were donated to Commons by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, because they are part of their collection. Presumably the Met ius claiming ownership of the copyright. Beyond My Ken (talk)
- The last listed image "Meeting at Hendaye" was nominated for deletion in October 2018, and was Kept. See here. Beyond My Ken (talk) 23:39, 2 August 2019 (UTC)
- I was not aware of this so I notify @Gbawden: . Concerning the "Polish" photos, They have apparently been published by Wydawnictwo Prasowe Kraków-Warszawa. To be eligible to {{PD-Polish}} "all photographs by Polish photographers (or published for the first time in Poland or simultaneously in Poland and abroad)" must have been published without a clear copyright notice before the law was changed on May 23, 1994.", which is apparently not the case since Hoffmann works are still copyrighted. --Patrick Rogel (talk) 10:06, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
- They are copyrighted in Germany, are they copyrighted in Poland? Beyond My Ken (talk) 00:03, 6 August 2019 (UTC)
