Unfortunately, this is not yet PD in the country of origin (France). Antoine de Saint-Exupéry died in 1944, which is over 70 years ago, but he died for France as a fighter pilot, which gives him a copyright of 88 years and 120 days PMA instead of 70 years PMA. See also this DR. To be undeleted in 2033.

@כוכב נופל: If you want to have any chance that closing admin takes your opinion into account, you will have to explain why you oppose deletion. When I read Commons:Copyright_rules_by_territory/France#General, I even see the name of this author listed there. I looked at fr:Prorogations de guerre to find the 88 years and 120 days. The photos you want to delete appear on many of our pages Like here for example and if they are deleted it will do us much harm. It is useful to inquire with the user who uploaded the pictures whether they have received permission to upload the pictures and thus we can understand better. I don't like these files to be deleted either, but if copyright rules demand so we have no choice. I think that @Woodie Wood: supposed that the copyright had expired when they uploaded the files. I was also under the impression that Le Petit Prince was PD since 2015, until I came accross Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_on_User:AntonierCH/work#Work_from_w:Jean_Moulin.
