- I'd only keep File:Galileo chini, san giovanni battista, 04 firma.jpg as it falls under Commons:Signatures, and File:Melograna marchio Arte della Ceramica.jpg as it is an old trademark --Sailko (talk) 11:31, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Sailko: On Commons we do not host fair use files, thus a trademark is still a copyrighted logo. Ruthven (msg) 11:39, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
- Keep File:Il_vasto_piazzale_della_Reggia,_bozzetto_di_Galileo_Chini_per_Turandot_(1924)_-_Archivio_Storico_Ricordi_ICON000206.jpg. As far as I know, Galileo Chini sold this set design to Ricordi (it was the company practice at the time), so it is now the Archivio Ricordi who owns the right to share it. --LutiV (talk) 17:53, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
- @LutiV Fine. How can we know that for sure? Ricordi should send us a proof via COM:VRT + their permission; which is the standard procedure. In fact, in their Legal Notices they state: "All the contents featured on this website are protected by copyright laws and by the other national and international provision regarding the protection of intellectual and industrial property" (and later on they forbid commercial use).Ruthven (msg) 08:30, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Ruthven: if you see here, they are releasing this and other images under CC-by-SA 4.0 LutiV (talk) 14:21, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- @LutiV I see that they are releasing some material, but the page with the permission is too heavy and with too much files to be checked (a bad web master I presume). Moreover, the source is too generic for Il_vasto_piazzale_della_Reggia,_bozzetto_di_Galileo_Chini_per_Turandot_(1924)_-_Archivio_Storico_Ricordi_ICON000206.jpg: you should link the exact page on Ricordi's website (the one relative to id. ICON000206), where it is to be expected that the free license is specified. It is up to the uploader to provide the precise links and information about the copyright status of a work. Ruthven (msg) 14:35, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Ruthven Yes sure, that's why I linked both the website, the one with the license specification and the one with the ID. Anyway, I can assure that the image ICON000206 is in the page with the license specification because I uploaded it myself. I'm aware it is not easy to find it, that was the only solution we found to make the license statement on the group of images the Archivio selected to be shared on Wikicommons. It wasn't possibile to specify the license on the page with the ID.
- The Archivio Storico Ricordi is part of a GLAM project and is sharing a lot of its documents, collaborating to many Wiki projects, that's the reason why this page was created. LutiV (talk) 10:36, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- @LutiV thanks for your answer. Well, the GLAM has no license verification capacities on Commons whatsoever: they can give you advice on how to proceed, and clearly in this case it wasn't so good. This is not the place to discuss this matter, but the best way to proceed would have been to contact COM:VRT or to ask advice in the Village Pump. A list with the uploaded file names sent to VRT could have solved the matter, rather than a very heavy and unorganized web page. Ruthven (msg) 10:54, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Ruthven Thank you for your advise, I just sent the email. LutiV (talk) 15:05, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

I'm not sure it's worth going through the trouble of deleting these, the copyright will expire soon, but if you do, please do it in such a way that they'll be undeleted when the copyright expires. It's only a couple more years. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 77.61.180.106 (talk) 12:45, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
- IP, just read the categories name. Ruthven (msg) 09:29, 13 May 2022 (UTC)
Deleted: almost all, per nomination, except one that has a VRT permission now. --Rosenzweig τ 17:37, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
Restored a cropped version of File:Galileo chini, san giovanni battista, 04 firma.jpg (to minimize the amount of painting shown around the signature), per request. --Rosenzweig τ 15:40, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- Restored File:Bruna Rossi, Palazzo Comunale Montecatini Terme, La bellezza è di casa, 7.jpg per UDR as PD-ItalyGov and PD-1996. Abzeronow (talk) 16:45, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
