Pymouss Let’s talk - 00:23, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- Keep the historical postcards that came from the French archive. If the archive revokes their license, then we should delete. Historically we sided with government institution's lawyers and their assessment of the copyright status of works they release. If they revoke their license, then we should delete. A French government institution's lawyers would know more about competing copyright claims of publication more than 70 years ago versus FOP than we would know. --RAN (talk) 05:12, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- The images:
- File:Trévé monument aux morts en 2021.jpg
- File:La Bretonne du Goëlo (Renaud statue).jpg
- File:Statue d'Yves Le Trocquer.JPG
Are contemporary image, not released by the archive. --RAN (talk) 16:23, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
- Keep For the first image, the work is a photograph. This is not a 3D reproduction. Moreover, the author of the photo is not Francis Renaud and it's a reproduction of a commercial document intended for wide and free distribution. For the other old documents, these are old views, some produced before 1928, where the works are far from being very visible. --Etienne5962 (talk) 22:15, 22 January 2023 (UTC)
Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 21:41, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- I deleted the clearly copyvio photos, I'll contact the departmental archives of Côtes-d'Armor to check if they indeed had some rights (also notifying Vlegall). Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 21:41, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
- @VIGNERON: Have you received any reply? -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 16:57, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Infrogmation: no definitive answer yet. I just learned that their is no lawyer at these archives (@Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ): ). Thus, I would lean toward Delete (I could always restore afterward in case I've got a positive answer). Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 19:08, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
