Design by Junichi Kawanishi, according to [1]. The medals are the main subject of the photos, so can't be considered COM:DM.

All four images appear to be original images taken at an exhibition, with the uploader (@User:RuinDig) also being the photographer. Perhaps they could chime in to confirm or deny that. Either way, I believe medals like these are alright, though I can't find an official Commons licensing guideline for medals. Nearly all previous Olympic medals are on Commons, however, and as long as the pictures are original works I think they're okay. Kaffe42 (talk) 20:52, 4 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I really doubt that "medals like these are alright", the design is copyrighteable like any other work. There are plenty of past DRs about olympic medals that ended with deletions unless the photo was considered de minimis or the medals were permanently showed outdoors in a country that allows FoP for 3D works: Commons:Deletion requests/File:2012 Olympic Medals.jpg, Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:2012 Summer Olympics medals, Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:Gold Olympic medals, Commons:Deletion requests/Files in Category:2010 Winter Olympics medals, among others. -sasha- (talk) 12:20, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
And, just in case, there's no FoP in Japan for artistic works, just for buildings. -sasha- (talk) 12:25, 5 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination - work of art by a living artist. --Marcus Cyron (talk) 12:33, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
