These files were uploaded both by myself and a host of other editors from Category:Files from Mark Rutte's Flickr stream. The photos were taken by Dave de Vaal and the copyright holder is "Mediacentrum Defensie mcd@mindef.nl". Defensie also has a Flickr stream here, and the photos there are licenced under CC-BY-NC-2.0. Given this we need someone to contact Defensie, perhaps reference this deletion request, and ask for the currently uploaded photos (and perhaps their Flickr stream too) under a Wikimedia Commons compatible licence.

Good catch, 2 different licences seems problematic. Could we get someone from Wikimedia Netherlands to talk to the relevant people about this? This could be very interesting for future picture releases too, so clearing this up should be worth it. Any ideas whom to ask at WMNL? User:Ziko? --Atlasowa (talk) 08:10, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've sent an e-mail to the mindef: ticket:2014033110005324. JurgenNL (talk) 09:00, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
While Jurgen mailed to mindef I mailed to the Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst. ticket:2014040810016481. They claim that that those photo's are indeed free. Don't close this one yet. Please give us a little more time to sort this out. Natuur12 (talk) 19:59, 8 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Natuur12, JurgenNL Thanks for the updates! --Atlasowa (talk) 12:00, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I can't believe that this was deleted and uploading again give failures. The license is clear and reusable, as we are a democracy, Mark Rutte is in charge of Defense, not the other way around, and can as president license these pictures with a Creative Commons license and actually, they are with the newlegislation required to do so. The mentioned flickrstream was a temporary flickrstream for the NSS event. --Hannolans (talk) 23:34, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
