Files from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife Flickr account using the public domain mark. Photos are obviously own work of California Department of Fish and Wildlife (like this). The Flickr account says "Use of photos: Please credit the California Department of Fish and Wildlife". It seems to be obvious what they were trying to do, but this is now heading for deletion and that's exactly what they didn't want.

I want to send them a message, but I'm too tired right now to write something sufficiently coherent. Done now. Hopefully I'll hear back. (one week later: I didn't)

  •  Keep the Cali F&W have licensed some works CC-2.0 and some PDM. i do not see any reason to second guess the good faith attempts to release to public domain as PDM. only commons admins think there is a difference between CC0 and PDM. ridiculous nomination per [1] and bad faith nomination per [2] Slowking4 § Sander.v.Ginkel's revenge 00:58, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
