lifted from user editable wiki, no evidence they have permission, as shown by no meta data \ low res of all. Only File:Sour Cecilia.jpg has meta data, but is very low res..

The license is not obvious because the site has been modified. For example here the user @Daphne Lantier: has certified that in July 2017 the license was correct. Try asking her. This is a snapshot of a site page in April 2018: the CC-BY-SA license is shown at the bottom of the page. --Lepido (talk) 21:04, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Lepido: I think if you were to check Daphne's userpage you might realize that it may be more difficult than you think to contact them :P Jon Kolbert (talk) 04:11, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ooops... I realized the small problem :-D Yes, it is true, but the snapshot is also true. Unfortunately, the site has been modified and no licenses have been added. --Lepido (talk) 07:39, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Regardless of original licenses, all these files could be kept with a fair use rationale, limited to illustrating the articles about the named persons. JFG (talk) 05:43, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@JFG: are you able to link to a precedent where files were kept on Commons with a fair use rationale? Cheers. Jon Kolbert (talk) 17:35, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
JFG, Fair use is not allowed on Wikimedia CommonsPlatonides (talk) 17:50, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, my bad, I mean fair use on enwiki or whichever national wiki has an article for each person. JFG (talk) 20:49, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notes on current use:

I would volunteer to re-upload Kimura and Plunket to enwiki under fair use. I'm not familiar with fair use rules on other wikis, so won't be able to help there. JFG (talk) 07:58, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination. It has been long enough that if the images have not been trasferred you will need to request temporary undeletion. --Majora (talk) 16:56, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
