Delete: balance of out of scope personal family images of Benjamin that are part of a large batch upload by Fae at my request.

clpo13 I think that's fine. Just remove the deletion tag. Ww2censor (talk) 00:18, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nick-D: See Commons:Deletion requests/Files found with family incategory:"Photographs by Sheba Also" probably covers the rest you mention. If you are going to nominate, then please do them in a batch because Fae's talk page got flooded yesterday with numerous individual notices (have a look at it). Thanks for that. Perhaps if Fae had taken some care with this upload, they wouldn't be being bothered about it? This messed up upload has also flooded top-level Australian image categories with random and often useless images which Australian Commons users are having to go through one by one to correctly categorise, and remove the large black borders which render many of the photos unusable. Nick-D: I doubt anyone would even consider manually reviewing what may have been up to 45,000 images most of which are very good quality and usable before uploading. Relatively speaking a small percentage will have to be deleted. If editors are reviewing them for categorisation one by one here that's a rather slow way to do them. It's easier to search them by tags and then batch categorise them, and when someone want to use an image in an article that would seem to be the time to crop any borders. That's just my thoughts on it. In all honesty overall does a great job and yes there will always be some deletions but that's the nature of the beast. If there is such an outcry I'll never bother to encourage a Flickr user with substantial great image to change their copyright so we can use them, but thanks for your input.
