According to this article by Santa Barbara Independent, the sculpture was erected in 1991 and designed by Herbert Bayer. As U.S.A. doesn't have freedom of panorama for copyrighted 3D public art, these freely-licensed images infringe his copyright, and permission from him via COM:OTRS is required to continue hosting these freely-licensed images here.

  • Appears a marginal case. It's a set of simple wood beams and very simple colouring, with the colours being too simple to be an "artwork". Installations are always debatable, one gate would be a garden decoration not art, there's some point between having one single colour gate and several next to each other becomes "art" and that point has no easy definition. -- (talk) 14:21, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
