- I think there were no color pictures in the 1940s, so this black and white photo can be the original image. Some admins like Joe M. or G. Swan's older brother were quite active in photo art in the fifth and sixth decades of the last century. Maybe the uploader is one of them with their old user name. - I'm not convinced that this image is really from the 1940's. The one who uploaded it is not very reliable, so this might be a wrong year, too. Erik Wannee (talk) 09:45, 7 September 2024 (UTC)
- It was a modern colour image, turned into black and white to make it seem much older, and used in a hoax article about a quasi-haunted house (this one). – ErikvanB (talk) 02:01, 8 September 2024 (UTC)
