Promotional image of some sort. Used in a now deleted advert on en.wikipedia. Likely copyrighted. No reason given to suggest that uploader is copyright holder. no foreseeable use. FASTILY (TALK) 21:59, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Speedy keep - The reason for the nomination of File:Vespas_Night_Club_in_Funchal.jpg is completely absurd. This is only the biggest, oldest and most famous nightclub at Funchal, an historical institution dating from the 60s or 70s, it is obviously in scope! We only have two pictures from that disco, and this one is the best of the two. And there is nothing there that would hint this is a copyvio, not even mentioning how absurd it is to believe that such an image with a blurred DJ in the foreground is "promotional". And who cares if the image was promotional, two weeks ago the owner of the most famous Lisbon disco uploaded two promotional images here, and they were deleted for lack of permission, but it's on my to do list to contact him in order to upload them again, with due permission.   •  Speedy keep - These images are all uploaded by different users, and if they were "Used in a now deleted advert on en.wikipedia", I would expect to see the same uploader. Can you link to this "deleted advert"? Two of these images even have metadata from two different cameras. "Likely copyrighted" does not seem to be sufficient evidence to prove the uploaders are not the copyright holders. All of this together suggests to me that the reasons given to delete these are poor at best. If anyone wished to contest that, I would like to see these images contested separately. --Natural RX 19:10, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep No valid reason to remove them. These have no relationship to each other and were not uploaded by the same user or relate to the same article. The nightclub file was uploaded with other 'holiday' pictures in 2009 - not promotional and there is no problem with rights. Secondarywaltz (talk) 19:13, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I could certainly foresee educational, non-promotional uses for File:Vespas Night Club in Funchal.jpg. You haven't given any reason to suggest that the uploader is not the copyright holder. Taken on its own, there seems to be no reason to doubt the "own work" claim. Upon looking closer at Funchal's other uploads, however, a rather unlikely camera switching pattern emerges:

That might be reason to doubt the authorship claims of File:Vespas Night Club in Funchal.jpg (and other uploads by Funchal). I fail to see what the other files you listed have to do with File:Vespas Night Club in Funchal.jpg, though. —LX (talk, contribs) 15:10, 22 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
