Source says "courtesy photo". Courtesy of ?? Private military contractors, equipment manufacturers, press - no way to find out. But if it's "courtesy", it's not made by US-Gov.   •  Keep -- Here is the article the image illustrates: http://www.army.mil/article/27682/nco-spotlight-staff-sgt-matthew-beach/ There is nothing on that page to indicate the image was taken by anyone but another GI. The author of the article is a GI. In this case I suggest the term "courtesy photo" indicates the photo was taken by one of Beach's squadmates, on the patrol, with their own personal camera -- so there is no Mil-ID. But even if it wasn't taken by an official photographer, an image taken by a GI on patrol is still PD. Geo Swan (talk) 11:47, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
