Volume 1 of The Cambridge Ancient History was first published in the UK in 1923 and not published in the US within 30 days. This file is a scan of the 1928 reprint of the 1924 second edition, and it is conceivable that there are some changes in the second edition that would merit independent analysis, but the bulk of the work is covered by that 1923 UK publication.

As a UK work its term of protection is pma. 70 from the date of death of the last living author, which is Frank Ezra Adcock (1886–1968). Its UK copyright term is thus 1968 + 70 + 1 = 2039. It was in copyright in its country of origin on the URAA date, so its US copyright was restored but has since expired.

But as a UK work still in copyright in its country of origin it cannot be hosted on Commons.

Note that the file was INUSE on English Wikisource but it has now been copied locally (enWS only requires PD in the US, not source country). Xover (talk) 17:30, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
