Straightforward copy (i.e. derivative) of work that- in absence of evidence to the contrary- must be assumed to be copyrighted. Ubcule (talk) 13:46, 14 August 2017 (UTC)
- Comment copied over from User_talk:Stephencdickson#File:The_cover_of_Gardening_in_Colour_by_Ward_Lock_.26_Co.jpg:-
- "If you look at the photo it is done in a way that does not compromise any copyright... it also clearly adds to the article on Ward Lock--Stephencdickson (talk) 22:16, 14 August 2017 (UTC)"
- @Stephencdickson: Looks significantly reliant on the (presumed copyrighted and non-free) cover to me.
- Yes, the image adds to the article (and is in-scope for Commons), but that's not why it was nominated. The reason for the nomination was that it isn't a free image (unless you can make the counter-case more strongly than that). At best- IMHO- it's "fair use" and belongs at English Wikipedia, not here. - Additional; user's response to above and further comments made at user's talk page, but it's up to him to decide if he wants to post them here (and have them taken into account) or not. Ubcule (talk) 16:42, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
Deleted: per nomination. --Yann (talk) 10:53, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
