As discussed in Commons:Deletion requests/File:The New Orleans Bee 1828 January 0005.pdf, after the task was completed, the images in Category:The New Orleans Bee - missing pages should have been deleted. These are just placeholder images. According to Commons:Batch uploading/New Orleans Bee, this task was completed in October 2012. Ricky81682 (talk) 04:21, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Keep, shouldn't we keep them? In the future when a reader looks at the run of papers and sees that a day's issue is missing they will assume that we made an error loading the image. By including the "missing image" page, they will be aware that the original paper issue was no longer extant at the time of microfilming. Isn't this why the microfilmer included it in the first place? People have the same question now with Google Books scanning, did they skip a page by accident, or was the page missing from the book, or did the upload fail, or is that page still under copyright because of an image it contained? --RAN (talk) 19:49, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
